An Idaho native, Sue Tyler has called Teton Valley home for 32 years. She earned her degree in art education and taught all forms of art to high school students and adults for 25 years. She also worked as a regional consultant for the Idaho Commission on the Arts, and received the Governor’s Award in Art Education in 2002. Sue expressed forms and energy in nature through her watercolor and acrylic paintings. She especially enjoys “plein aire” (outdoor landscape) painting, often doing so while hiking, traveling, or on horseback. She has painted throughout Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, and Alaska, and participates in shows regularly in these regions.
