A Wisconsin dairy farm was my home in childhood. After becoming an Registered Nurse and working in the Midwest (Madison, Chicago, Champaign/Urbana, Illinois) for several years, we moved west to Berkeley, California for two years and then to Bozeman, Montana where we raised our family and lived for forty years. We moved to Boise in 2010.
After retirement (I worked as an administrative assistant to a Chemistry Professor at Montana State University), I began pursuing a life-long interest in art and joined the local art community. I have studied with Susan Blackwood, Aaron Schuerr, Diana Tremaine and have taken a workshops with Richard McKinley. I have attended several of the national Plein Air Conventions. I have been painting in oils since 2001. Travel, camping, hiking and fishing have been family activities, with particular love of the National Parks where nature inspires in splendor. Music is a family dynamic as well. I am immersed in the expression painting allows.
